Lost Lesson 01

Life Logistics

Navigate everyday adult situations with confidence.

A practical workshop in handling the situations adulthood throws at you: getting clear information, communicating professionally, managing details, fixing problems, and knowing when a situation is yours to solve — or when it's time to get help.

  • 04Make, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments
  • 05Complete basic forms and paperwork accurately — and ask when something is unclear
  • 06Use a calendar, plan ahead, and manage deadlines and travel time
  • 07Handle mistakes, returns, cancellations, and awkward conversations calmly
  • 08Decide whether to solve it, ask for help, escalate, call a parent, or treat it as an emergency

Real situations. Practiced out loud.

Teens rotate through scenarios, take both sides of the interaction, make decisions in the moment, and try again with coaching.

  • S01A business gives you an unclear answer. Ask follow-up questions until you know what happens next.
  • S02You need to reschedule an appointment without being charged. Make the call and negotiate the next step.
  • S03A form asks for information you don't recognize. Work out what you know, what to find, and who to ask.
  • S04An order is wrong and the return window is closing. Explain the problem, request a solution, and escalate if needed.
  • S05Something has gone wrong away from home. Decide: handle it, get help, call a parent, or act as an emergency.

The challenge that finishes it

Independently handle one real-life task this week — a call, email, appointment, form, return, cancellation, or other everyday situation. Your parent can support you, but they don't take over.

Nobody completes a Lost Lesson by sitting through it. The workshop is the rehearsal; the challenge is the real thing. Parents stay available for support, but the teen owns the task.
